Laughter Is the Salt of Life

In the quiet town of Pine Crest, life is about to become very complicated. The summer tourism season has started, and what looks like a simple windsurfer drowning turns out to be much worse. Before the autopsy can reveal the truth, another windsurfer is killed. As the residents of Pine Crest deal with the shock of murder in their small town, more bodies turn up, and tensions mount between locals and windsurfers. The burden of solving these crimes falls on Matt Goodell and his fellow deputies. The demands of working long hot days, looking for clues that don't exist, talking to witnesses who saw nothing, and trying to solve the puzzle in front of him are wearing him down. Can he find the murderer before the town implodes?
